Amy King’s mission in life is to innovate to sustain people, communities and the environment.
She has over 20 years of marketing and organizational development experience in the private and nonprofit sectors, with an emphasis on community development, sustainable practices and storytelling for impact.
Amy’s career began in advertising and video production at two notable NY agencies, McCann-Erickson and Grey. She has worked with diverse artists and clients from Moby & Gwen Stefani, Missy Elliott, and Tom Petty to FDNY, L’Oreal Paris, MasterCard, VH1 and HBO. Amy also helped launch and grow AFI & Discovery Channel’s SILVERDOCS Documentary Festival + Conference (now AFI Docs) in Washington, DC.
Amy delivers public workshops on personal brand strategy for women and is a noted speaker on personal sustainability, community development and sustainable brand building. Her recent speaking engagements have included Greenbuild International Conference, Conscious Company’s Sum + Substance event and Creative Mornings Dallas.
She lives in East Dallas with her life partner Gary, three rescue dogs, backyard chickens and bees, and would love to challenge you to a game of your choice on GoodWork’s Vintage Atari system!
